The Uninvited Dramatised by Tim Kelly

4 Men, 6 Women

Author of: Trouble with Summer People, Trick or Treat, The Timid Dragon, Time and Time Again, The Cave.

This play is a dramatisation of a classic ghost novel by Dorothy Macardle - The Uninvited (1942).

Pam Fitzgerald and her brother Roddy discover an abandoned but charming house overlooking the sea. The house is 'Cliff End' and the reason they are able to purchase it soon becomes apparent. Slowly the Fitzgeralds begin to sense the evil presence in the house.

A number of local identities help to fill in the history of 'Cliff End' but it is a mediumistic friend who forces the house to reveal its dark secrets.

The Uninvited was made into a highly successful Paramount film in the 1940's starting, Ray Milland, Cornelia Otis Skinner, Ruth Hussey and Gail Russell.
